Abstract: The transition from the traditional model of economic growth to the economy of ecological well-being, sometimes called the «green» economy, is a global trend that determines the sustainability of development not only of individual national economies, but also of the entire globe as a whole. In a number of countries around the world, sufficiently effective institutions, mechanisms, criteria (ESG) have already been created – state, administrative, economic – to support environmental innovative high-tech industries. The article shows the role of environmental innovations, green technologies in the strategic management of the country's economy, highlights the features of strategic management of environmental innovations, raises the problem of managing environmental economics, environmental innovations, shows that socio-economic and «green» policies should be linked to national goals, federal and national projects, and also provides a set of political and economic measures to support the growth of «green» technologies.
