Abstract:
This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the current state and strategic prospects of environmental cooperation among BRICS member states, with a focus on the implementation of the "Clean Rivers" initiative. Based on the latest scientific data, expert assessments, and analysis of best international practices, scientifically-methodological recommendations for the effective implementation of this initiative have been developed. The recommendations cover key areas: improving water quality monitoring systems, implementing advanced innovative purification technologies, comprehensive restoration of degraded river ecosystems, developing scientific research dialogue, and strengthening educational activities. A detailed analysis of the specific environmental challenges and fundamental environmental protection priorities of each of the ten BRICS participating countries has been conducted. Specific project solutions, adapted to national conditions, are proposed. The strategic expediency of forming a unified supranational organizational structure and a multi-level monitoring and reporting system to ensure the maximum effectiveness of the initiative is substantiated.
