Abstract: The article is devoted to organizational and methodological approaches to the development and verification of methods for calculating emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere from stationary sources. The scope of the techniques and their role in the atmospheric quality management system are outlined. The main elements of the methodology for the development and verification of methods are presented. The current list of approved methods is analyzed. Promising directions for improving the computational and analytical functionality of the methods are outlined.

Abstract: Due to the ongoing technological processes of demolition of capital construction facilities, a large number of emissions of cement, concrete and other dust of various fractions are released into the atmosphere. In the current dense urban environment, this fact is a threat to the health of people living near the sites of reconstruction, major repairs or demolition of real estate. Therefore, timely monitoring of concentrations of pollutants in the atmosphere is extremely important. This paper considers the possibility of using low-budget autonomous laser sensors for measuring the concentration of fine dust particles near a construction site as one of the tools for timely detection of excess permissible concentrations of solid particles in the atmospheric air.

Abstract: This article analyzes regulatory, methodological and standardization documents in terms of soil quality requirements for various land categories and, above all, in terms of establishing soil quality indicators, including their standard values. The conducted analysis allowed us to identify lists of indicators characterizing the quality of soils of various land categories in the Russian Federation.

Abstract: This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the current state and strategic prospects of environmental cooperation among BRICS member states, with a focus on the implementation of the "Clean Rivers" initiative. Based on the latest scientific data, expert assessments, and analysis of best international practices, scientifically-methodological recommendations for the effective implementation of this initiative have been developed. The recommendations cover key areas: improving water quality monitoring systems, implementing advanced innovative purification technologies, comprehensive restoration of degraded river ecosystems, developing scientific research dialogue, and strengthening educational activities. A detailed analysis of the specific environmental challenges and fundamental environmental protection priorities of each of the ten BRICS participating countries has been conducted. Specific project solutions, adapted to national conditions, are proposed. The strategic expediency of forming a unified supranational organizational structure and a multi-level monitoring and reporting system to ensure the maximum effectiveness of the initiative is substantiated.

Abstract: This report summarizes data on the Great Snipe Gallinago media sightings in the Republic of Karelia from 2021 to 2025. At a permanent lek in the Olonetsky District, where 8 to 15 birds were present annually, 24 males and 5 females were captured and tagged. In terms of size and weight, great snipes in Karelia differed from those of the Scandinavian group and were similar to those in Estonia, confirming the homogeneity of the great snipe population in the lowlands of Europe.

Abstract: Data on winter sightings of 22 species of waders in Dagestan Republic are presented, which significantly supplement the known the information about wintering of this group of birds in the south of the European part of Russia. The information obtained during the middle-winter counts in 2003–2025 is summarized, according to the results of which the list of reliably recorded waders wintering in Dagestan was supplemented with nine species. In the last 10 years, there has been an increase in the number of wintering wader’s species, and in some species, increase of their numbers as well.

Abstract: The analysis of available data on major cities in Tatarstan and the conducted research allowed us to identify the species composition and locations of wader concentrations during the autumn migration. The article presents current data on the distribution and behavior of waders in anthropogenically transformed habitats in the Republic of Tatarstan. The situation with waders in the city of Kazan and its immediate surroundings during the autumn migration is analyzed separately.

Abstract: Study of southward migration of waders took place in the area of mouth of Bolshaya Vorovskaya River in 2014–2025. Registration of flying past flocks of waders was one of the direction of our investigations. It was important for species, which usually almost do not stopped on the mudflats – Pacific Golden Plover, Greenshank, Gray Tattler, Wood Sandpiper, Terek Sandpiper, Common Sandpiper, Far-eastern Curlew. Graphs of migration based for average counting data of 2014–2025 submitted.
